How to Trigger Slack Alerts with Coefficient

How to Add Coefficient to Slack

1. Click the “Get Started Free” button in the site header and enter your email address.

2. Click “Install Add-on” in the “Getting Started with Coefficient” spreadsheet.

3. Open a new or existing spreadsheet and click Extensions > Coefficient > Launch.

1. Click “Automations” from the home screen in the Coefficient sidebar.

2. Click “Create New” and select Daily/Weekly screenshot for Alert Type and Daily for Frequency. These settings will disappear after adding Coefficient to Slack, so you can breeze through these for now.

3. On Step 3 – “Send to”, click the “Connect to Slack” button.

4. Click the “Authorize” button. This will open up a new URL in your browser on Slack’s domain.

5. Ensure you have the correct Slack workspace selected in the top right dropdown.

6. Click the green “Allow” button. You’ll be dropped back into your Alert inside of the Coefficient sidebar.

1. Now, select the Alert type and Frequency you’d like for your first Slack alert.

2. Select the channel(s) you’d like to send your Alert to. You’ll have the option to select any Public channel(s). If you’d like to trigger your alert into a private channel, follow the popup instructions to invite Coefficient to your private channel.

3. Click “Next” and name your alert.

4. Click the “Add Alert” button if you’re happy with your alert. You can send a preview if you’d like. Your Slack alert is now live and will triggers upon the conditions you’ve set!
