Installing Coefficient in Excel

Before we get started, you’ll need to install Coefficient in Excel. Don’t worry, it’s a fast and straightforward process that you only need to do once. Follow these simple steps to get started:

Open Excel from your desktop or in Office Online.

Navigate to the ‘File’ menu and select ‘Get Add-ins.’

  • Click on ‘More Add-ins’ to access the available add-ins.

Type ‘Coefficient’ in the search bar and click ‘Add.’

A pop-up window will appear, guiding you through the installation process. Follow the prompts to complete the setup.

Once installed, you will see a ‘Coefficient’ tab in the top navigation bar. Click ‘Open Sidebar’ to launch Coefficient.

Connecting Excel to ClickUp

With Coefficient installed, you’re now ready to import your ClickUp data into Excel

Step 1: Choose ClickUp as Your Data Source

Navigate to the ‘Import from’ option in Coefficient and select ClickUp

Step 2: Connect to Your Existing ClickUp Workspace

Select the ClickUp workspace you want to connect to Coefficient.

Choose the object you want to import data from. For this example, we’ll select ‘Tasks’ to fetch data from a specific list in ClickUp.

Fill in the required parameters as indicated by the tooltips.

In this case, we need to provide the List ID of the ClickUp list we want to fetch tasks from. Locate the List ID in ClickUp and paste it into the designated field in Coefficient.

Select the desired fields from the left-hand side of the Import Preview menu.

Coefficient will display the retrieved data from ClickUp, allowing you to choose the specific fields you want to import. Make your selections an click ‘Import’ when finished.
